Ofer Amir is a speech-pathologist and a full professor at the Department of Communication Disorders, Tel-Aviv University, Israel. He received his Bachelor and Masters’ degrees in Communication Disorders from Tel-Aviv University, and then completed his doctoral degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. He has authored over 70 publications in the fields of speech and voice disorders. He is also the former head of the Department of Communication Disorders, at Tel-Aviv University. He runs a private practice for diagnosing and treating children and adults with fluency disorders and with voice disorders. Prof. Amir is an active member in many local and international associations and professional committees.
